Clovate 0.05% ointment contains the active substance clobetasol.
Clobetasol-inflammatory agent is a corticosteroid. When applied topically, reduces inflammation of the skin and its manifestations such as redness, swelling, itching, and allergic skin reactions.

WHAT CLOVATE 0.05% MAZ AND WHAT IT IS USED
CLOVATE 0.05% ointment contains the active substance clobetasol.
Clobetasol-inflammatory agent is a corticosteroid. When applied topically, reduces inflammation of the skin and its manifestations such as redness, swelling, itching, and allergic skin reactions.
Clobetasol be used to treat skin diseases, which respond to topical application of corticosteroids, and not complicated by bacterial infection.
Clobetasol ointment can be applied to:
atopic eczema;
formation of greasy scaly patches (seborrheic dermatitis);
rough itchy skin (lichen);
psoriasis;
inflammation due to contact with allergens (allergic contact dermatitis);
skin manifestations of the disease called lupus erythematosus;
redness of the skin with bubbles (erythema multiforme).

2. BEFORE YOU USE CLOVATE 0.05%
Do not use CLOVATE 0.05% ointment:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the ingredients of CLOVATE 0.05% ointment or other glucocorticoids;
for fungal diseases of the skin;
viral skin diseases such as measles, herpes and others;
acne and rosacea;
in children under 12 years.
Take special care with Kloveyt 0.05% ointment
With continued use, the frequency of adverse reactions may increase efficiency and decrease.
In case of infection at the site of application should be given an additional antibacterial or antifungal therapy or use of Kloveyt ointment cease to cure her.
The product must not be used on the face because of the risk of skin irritation around the mouth (perioral dermatitis) or permanent expansion of small blood vessels in the skin or mucous membranes (telangiectasia).
Due to the risk of increased absorption ointment can be applied in the armpits and groin only when absolutely necessary.
Do not put a bandage that is not permeable to air due to the possibility of thinning of the skin, stretch marks and new infection.
The product should be administered with caution on weakened skin, especially in the elderly.
Using other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
During treatment should not be vaccinated against measles or hold other immunizations.

Pregnancy and lactation

CLOVATE 0.05% ointment is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.

Driving and using machines

Important information about some of the ingredients of Kloveyt 0.05% ointment
It contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation.

3. HOW TO USE CLOVATE 0.05%
Always use CLOVATE 0.05% ointment exactly as your doctor tells you. If you're not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Usually a small amount of ointment rubbed gently on the affected skin area 1-2 times a day. The ointment should be applied under occlusive (air-tight) dressing.

Duration of treatment:
Treatment should not last more than two weeks without a break.

If you use more than the amount CLOVATE 0.05% ointment
Apply only determined by your doctor doses Kloveyt ointment. If you use a higher dose CLOVATE ointment or for a longer period than prescribed, tell your doctor.

If you forget to use CLOVATE 0.05% ointment
If you forget to apply the ointment Kloveyt in due time, apply the ointment as soon as you find it, then go in the prescribed schedule.

If you stop using CLOVATE 0.05% ointment
Your doctor will advise you when and how to stop treatment Kloveyt ointment.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Kloveyt 0.05% ointment can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

You may experience the following problems:
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: acne, small punctate hemorrhages (purpura), thinning of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, burning, itching, irritation, rash, formation of stretch marks, expansion of small blood vessels in the skin or mucous membranes (telangiectasia) dry skin, hypertrichosis (abnormal hair growth) or hair loss, depigmentation or discoloration of the skin, purulent inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis), skin irritation around the mouth (perioral dermatitis), secondary infection, generalized pustular psoriasis.
Sometimes may occur urticaria, maculopapular rash or exacerbation of already existing skin lesions.

Eye disorders: after application on the skin of the eyelids sometimes might develop glaucoma or cataracts.

Endocrine disorders: dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, Cushing's syndrome, inhibition of growth and development in children, edema, hypertension, hyperglycemia, glycosuria (presence of glucose in the urine), reduced immunity. These violations have occurred mainly during prolonged application, applying to large areas of skin under occlusion in children.

5. HOW TO STORE CLOVATE 0.05%
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Do not use CLOVATE 0.05% ointment after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What CLOVATE 0.05% ointment
The active substance is klobetazolov propionate. 1 g of ointment contains 0.5 mg klobetazolov propionate.
The other ingredients are: propylene glycol, sorbitan sesquioleate, white soft paraffin.

How does CLOVATE 0.05% ointment and contents of the pack
CLOVATE 0.05% ointment is white translucent ointment.
Aluminum tube containing 25 g of ointment. Each tube is inserted together with patient information in a cardboard box.
