OMNADREN WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED

Omnadren is a mixture of testosterone esters - propionate fenilpropionat, izokaproat and decanoate. Testosterone is a naturally occurring androgenic hormone. It plays a major role in stimulating and maintaining sexual function in men.

The mixture of testosterone esters in Omnadren is associated with different times of absorption and elimination, which provides continuous release of the drug. The effect of testosterone begins immediately after injection and decreased after about three weeks. Omnadren is used to replace testosterone in the body to treat various sexual problems in men, such as:

 hipogonadalni disorders in men - postcastration syndrome evnuhoidizam, hypopituitarism (inadequate function of the pituitary gland), endocrine erectile dysfunction;

 male menopause symptoms (eg, decreased libido);

 certain types of infertility caused by testosterone deficiency, which leads to impaired spermatogenesis;

 BEFORE YOU USE OMNADREN

 

Do not use Omnadren

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any component of Omnadren;

 If you have breast cancer;

 When confirmed or suspected carcinoma of the prostate.

 

Special care is needed when applying Omnadren:

 During prolonged treatment with high doses;

 Elderly patients require additional monitoring;

 If you have heart, liver or kidney disease;

 If you have delayed puberty (bone age should be determined every six months);

 If you have hepatitis;

 If you have breast cancer.

Anrogenite (like Omnadren) can stimulate the growth of prostate cancer and enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hypertrophy). Before you apply Omnadren Your doctor will examine you to rule out the presence of prostate cancer. During

treatment, your doctor will examine you regularly.

If you are an athlete, use of Omnadren can lead to a positive doping test.

 

Taking other medicines

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines that are sold without a prescription.

If you are treated with oral anticoagulants may require additional blood tests.

If you are on insulin therapy may require dosage adjustment of insulin.

Some drugs stimulate liver enzymes rifampicin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, salicylates, phenytoin, primidone may weaken the effect of testosterone.

 

Pregnancy and lactation

 

Ask for advice from your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. Do not use Omnadren if you are pregnant or think you are pregnant.

Breastfeeding should be discontinued while taking Omnadren.

 

Driving and operating machinery

This medicinal product does not affect psychomotor reactions, the ability to drive and use machines.

Important information about some of the ingredients Omnadren

 

Omnadren contains fastychepo oil. If you are allergic to peanut or soya, do not use This medicinal product.

This product contains benzyl alcohol.

 HOW TO USE OMNADREN

 

Always use Omnadren exactly as your doctor tells you. If you are not sure ask again your doctor or pharmacist.

The injections are given intramuscularly.

Injections should be made deeply into the gluteal muscle.

The dose is determined individually, depending on the indication and patient response.

Usually one ampoule Omnadren is placed intramuscularly three weeks.

 

Elderly and depots

Reduced doses and longer intervals between doses are effective.

 

If you take more Omnadren than necessary

Overdose subject to the recommended method of application is unlikely.

 

Symptoms resulting from the use of very high doses or more frequently than once a week may include painful erections in men and women hoarseness, which may lead to irreversible changes in the voice.

Other side effects that occur, priapism (painful erection), oligospermia (few sperm in the ejaculate) at high doses, hirsutism (excessive hair growth), male pattern hair loss, nausea, obstructive jaundice, hepatic dysfunction, or stains neoplastic lesions of the liver, suppression of clotting factors II, V, VI and X, bleeding in patients taking oral anticoagulants, polycythemia (excess red blood cells), altered libido, anxiety, paresthesia (abnormal sensations), increased concentration of cholesterol in the blood. Retention of sodium, chloride, water, potassium, calcium and inorganic phosphate.

What Omnadren
