Kello-Cot forms a bond with the stratum corneum (the top layer of dead cells) forming a protective barrier against chemical, physical and microbial entry into the scar site while simultaneously hydrating. An environment is created that allows scar healing by normalizing the cycle of collagen synthesis and improving the physiological and cosmetic appearance of the scar.
Kello-Cot is indicated for leveling, softening and smoothing, relief of itching and discomfort associated with the scar, and reduction of associated discoloration.
Silicone gels have been proven effective in the treatment of hypertrophic, atrophic and keloid scars.
