What IMIGRAN and what it is used

If the answer to any of these questions is "Yes", tell your doctor before taking this medicine:

  Are you allergic to sumatriptan, any of the other ingredients of Imigran tablets or to sulfonamides

  Do you suffer from sudden bouts of shortness of breath, pain or tightness in the chest (which can be extended jaw or upper arm)

  Do you have any of the following health problems: heart disease, heart failure, angina pectoris (angina) or coronary thrombosis (heart attack), high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, epilepsy or brain disease

  Are you taking any other migraine medicines that contain ergotamine or its derivatives such as ergotamine tartrate and methysergide maleate. If you are taking any medication, stop taking them at least 24 hours before taking Imigran tablets.

  Are you taking any medications for depression such as lithium, MAO inhibitors, selective inhibitors of reverse transport of serotonin (SSRI, including citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine and sertraline) or reverse transport of serotonin and norepinephrine (SNRI)

  Answer you medicines of the MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks

  Are you taking any medicines for weight loss or to treat epilepsy

How to take Imigran


Take your medicine as your doctor has told you.

If you take more than prescribed Imigran

 Possible side effects
